"Since Goodwill discovered online auctioning it was only a matter of time until they took their business to the next level and started selling their best categories there. Fun’s over for us, bargain-hunting folk. This store is not any different, and actually worse. The bargain bins are gone, but I never enjoyed that area anyway. Their jewelry section is completely gone (in all Goodwills actually), the clothing prices went up so much that a pilled-up Free People top will cost you $20! Dresses are $8.99-$14.99, tops $6.99 and up. The stuff on the shelves is comical in its content and pricing. Read the other reviews - it’s all true. Some items are more than retail, useless things all over those long rows of shelves priced way over what you’d expect. I saw a baggie of used sewing thread for $9.99… The only hope of finding something of interest is if THEY miss an item of value and let it get to the shelf, or if you really, really know your collectibles. Although it will have to be something from holiday decor, kitchen pots, pans, glasses and dishes, framed art, craft supplies, sports equipment, and random small metal objects like racks, trinket trays etc."

"This Goodwill store offers clean items that are fairly priced and restroom facilities that are immaculate. Plan on spending some time here because of the size of the store and quantity of product. Additionally, this location houses an outlet in which items are charged by the pound and appears to be a favorite way to shop for many thrifters and resellers. Digging through these large bins of miscellaneous items and clothing, looking for that special something, can be a lot of fun. This is a very nice Goodwill store and Victoria, at checkout, is fabulous."

"One star, and only because Google won't allow zero star ratings. First, I need to report on the utterly unprofessional & rude behavior of the employees. Most egregiously, the man who appears to be the manager (named Mike Hunt) is consistently rude & surly. He needs to learn public relations, manners, and to control the P. A. system. Often the announcements and/or music are startlingly, unnecessarily loud. Once, when the music was unbearably loud, I approached Mr. Hunt and asked if he would please turn it down because it was disturbing. He snarled at me that he had no control over the volume. When I said that the previous managers did, he nastily replied, "When you come in here, you take what you get!" Goodwill corporate, is this OK with you? The employees on the floor often crowd the customers, even reaching in front of us or bumping into us, without a word of apology. They should steer clear of shoppers as much as possible. But when they absolutely they need to be in our personal space, they need learn to say, "Excuse me," and "Sorry." Overall, this Goodwill has gone downhill over the years. They have reorganized the entire store at least four times in the past five years, every time making things worse. It now has the look & feel of a junk shop in the old time Bowery. The prices have repeatedly increased and the quality of the merchandise has decreased. They now actually have on the shelves dirty flower pots (which, aside from being shoddy can carry horticultural diseases) & weak plastic containers that someone's takeout food came that haven't been cleaned. Clothing often has stains, rips, or holes. The clothing that was always poorly organized, is worse now. At least it used to be arranged by color and size. All too frequently many articles of men's clothing is in with women's. Same with different sizes & different categories, like shrts in with skirts or long pants, sleepwear in the workout clothing, etc. (Speaking of sleepwear, please seperate the nightgowns from the pajamas. Many of us only wear one or the other. Why make us dig through all to find the only ones we will buy?) A problem that was created long ago was the removal of the mirrors that used to stand at the ends of most rows. So often customers just need to hold an article of clothing in front of us and look in a mirror to see if it's even a good choice. Now, we have to go all the way over to the dressing rooms, of which there are far too few, and hope one is open. Just idiotic! Put back the mirrors! And it's not that Goodwill stores can't overcome these issues. I suggest a visit to the Palmyra, PA, shop for proof of that."

Gemma Bryant

"I've been to many Goodwill stores and from a retail perspective, I wasn't too crazy about it. Granted I did find some movies and our cashier was very friendly, I feel the store could use more TLC. Again, from a retail perspective, it's important to greet your customers as they come in especially when multiple employees are in the store. First, the children's books and stuffed animals are difficult to browse. I assisted a lady in picking up books that fell onto the floor because of the poor use of space. The books kept falling on the floor despite the lady's efforts. The books were crammed onto a tiny shelf that with a single movement, causes a book avalanche. The stuffed animals were in big boxes that you have to dig to browse which was more than worth the effort. Even though Goodwill is a bargain store with used items, it doesn't mean items need to appear just thrown on the shelves. I love Goodwill, I do but I feel they should take more pride in their store and what they sell. It truly makes all the difference. I have worked in retail for over 5 years and presentation is everything. Customers tend to browse in areas that are visually pleasing and welcoming."

"I selfishly don't want to rank these thrift gems too high, lest they become main stream and over-crowded. This is a pay-by-the-pound Goodwill Outlet which is basically a free-for-all grabfest in a sea of giant blue bins teeming with Goodwill store leftovers or "can't sell" items. Lots and lots and lots of junk, but if you're savvy and patient, you can dig up some treasures. Definitely not for your run-of-the-mill thrift browser who is used to organized merchandise with price tags. It's a shitshow adventure!"

Kat Hanlon

"The store is set up with giant blue bins that are full of shoes and clothes and a variety of other stuff. You have to spend time and dig for things, but I found a lot of name brand items. If you have the time and aren't picky then you can find some decent clothes. Is recommended checking it out at least once. Also they charge by the weight of clothes. $1.29 per pound of clothing."

Mattie Noel

"The workers here are absolutely amazing. The first time I went, someone explained to me how it worked, and every time after that the workers have been nothing but nice. The customers on the other hand? Absolutely awful. This place draws a very specific crowd, mostly resellers, who are very rude. They’ll leave their carts in the middle of the aisle, steal all the carts even though everyone is only supposed to use one, and congregate around new bins so much so that the workers sometimes can’t even get them out. I love the finds I’ve gotten here, and love how awesome all the workers are, and most of the customers really need to realize just how hard they work."

Ashley Rodgers

"Love love love this place. Take a few hours and dig through the bins. Can’t really try stuff on but at under $2 a pound, it’s worth it to take a chance and just buy anything that could fit. I’ve found tons of dress clothes, sweaters, jackets…you name it! More often than not I end up with a full cart and just donate back the few things that don’t work."

Samantha Wolfe

"I recently stopped into Goodwill Store and Donation Center, and the first thing I'll say is this place is massive. It's easily one of the biggest Goodwills I've been to. The entire store is wall to wall inventory. Clothing racks are packed, and there's a huge selection of shoes, purses, home goods, and kids' items. If you're someone who loves the thrill of the hunt, you will absolutely have plenty to dig through. I went on a busy day and it was fully stocked. That said... it's a bit of a mixed bag. I did end up finding quite a few things and filled a cart, so it's not like there aren't good finds. But overall, the quality leans more toward lower end brands (think Target/Walmart), and I didn't come across much in the way of higher end or standout pieces. One thing that really stood out and not in a good way was how items are handled and priced. I found a nearly new pair of Vans, but the price tag was put directly through the canvas, leaving a visible hole in the shoe. That's... kind of wild. Same issue with home goods stickers placed right on printed designs (which can peel off the finish), or tape wrapped around items with the pricing sticker stuck directly to the product instead of the tape. It just feels like a lack of care in preserving the condition of what they're selling. Another downside for a store this size: there are only three fitting rooms. For how big and busy it is, that setup feels really inefficient and led to a bit of a wait. Checkout was also a little awkward. There's limited counter space, and since you have to bring your own bags or purchase them, it can get a bit chaotic if you have a larger haul. During my visit, there was also a moment where a cashier handled a small misunderstanding pretty aggressively snatching an item back and raising her voice instead of just calmly clarifying. It wasn't a huge situation, but definitely not the best customer experience. Overall, I'd call this a "dig if you're in the mood" kind of store. There are finds to be had, and the size alone makes it worth checking out at least once. But between the overcrowded racks, inconsistent quality, and how items are handled, it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way for regularly. Will I be back? Probably. Will it be my go to? Not exactly."

Shannon

"This Goodwill is hit or miss :) You do occasionally find something worth buying. The store is always very full of items to choose from. The donations vary but I'd say they're a 2/10 for finding good quality consistently. Recently they've altered their pricing and personally it seems quite optimistic. For example, kids worn out shoes -$10. Frequently they have Target dollar spot items priced double what they were at Target. Or packs of paper for school for $4 that were $1 retail. It seems whomever is pricing is not in tune with reality. Depending on what you're looking for you'd have better luck at consignment - there are plenty of good ones in the area like Little Boutique, Once Upon a Child, Plato's Closet etc. The prices are lower and the quality is higher, typically. Less digging for better stuff. One thing I do appreciate about this Goodwill is its size and the fact that they have a large children's toy section. They also have a lot of kitchen appliances compared to most thrifts. Overall I'm not going to advise running here as it's usually not worth the time for what you find :)"

"Drove all the way up here bc I thought that there was a goodwill outlet center which is where the big bins are & u could get some really good deals. Yea, that outlet doesn't exist anymore, just a store. ItS so big that u can't fathom looking at everything, shirts are so tight on the racks that u can't go through them. Employees either don't speak english or are rude. what else? Oh yes- overpriced! If I'm gonna pay $6 for a T-shirt, I'm gonna go to Walmart & get one & it's brand new. Goodwill stinks anymore."

"-2 stars given only because of sweet, friendly young man that stocks hard goods (would give him 10 stars) and large inventory in this store. -reselling vultures are catered to by poor employees that don’t realize they are being badgered and treated rudely -resellers grab things off new carts before they stop then wildly help stock so the employees can run back for more carts for them. -resellers are allowed to block aisles with their carts as they comp items or wait for more to come. - you could get rich filming how the resellers actually act in the thrift stores. Great idea for someone out there! - Prices are going crazy. Saw a lamp priced 49.99 today. Check SOLD comps if you want to compare to eBay, not what some people are TRYING to sell items for. -inconsistent pricing -individual prices for sets of dishes and cups. -used to shop at this goodwill all the time. Now rarely do. It has been ruined by YouTubers, resellers and management that allows camps of vultures. -management does not care about their employees"

"I usually shop here at least once a quarter. Sometimes I visit more often if I’m looking for specific items. Tips: arrive early morning, visit during the week, have an idea of what you’re looking for because it makes it easier to spot items, and bring gloves! There are sharp items thrown in among all other items so you will want to protect yourself. No need to bring bags because there are reusable bags in the bins. (It’s easy to find clean ones). Be ready to spend 1-2 hours here, at least. They switch out the rows every 45 mins-1hr. Listen for instructions on where to stand so you’re not in the way (or be yelled at). Priced by the pound but if you separate out the books, they’ll weigh them differently. Enjoy your hunt!"

Lauren M

"Great bins. Lots of great brands, tons of electronics, and fun randomness. Yes, resellers galore but they don't bother you. They rotate half of the store at a time. I got there at 2pm,left at 530pm and they flipped the bins 3 times. Staff are fine, some are nicer than others. All in all, I found the best things I've ever find in the bins at this location. Pricier than Bellmawr, but more selection. It's a fair trade off. ***if you use Google Wallet, please bring your physical card with you. The reader will give you grief if you just try to tap! Goodwill has a big problem with this. ****"

"There aren’t really signs to point you where to go. See attached photo for the entrance. Didn’t see much furniture. It’s mostly bins of clothing. I’ve been to locations in other states where clothing was by the pound, furniture was priced individually, and dish ware and books were x for $x. At this location, everything is $1.89/lb."

Allycat

"Definitely better than the outlet in Baltimore because it’s much bigger and it was rotating bins out a lot more however it did take a while for them to rotate out the bins and with their being so many people there we were all up against one side and we’re really just standing there stuck cart to cart with barely any room to move. I don’t know if this was because people didn’t want to move away from the front so that they could get to the other bins quicker or what, but it was very packed and seemed a bit like a safety hazard for at least 15 minutes and there was some people trying to leave like the store itself, but with their being so many people they couldn’t get through, and if we move over the line, they yell at you, which was kind of funny to see them yell at somebody who was going to check out lol"

"This review is only for "the bins" on the outlet side. I resell clothing as a hobby/side hustle, and I thought this bins had a good to great mix of pieces. It was my first time at an outlet store, and I found the clientele was not cutthroat as most resellers characterize people at these places. There may have been one hardcore group there waiting for the bins to turnover, but they weren't pushy people. There also wasn't anyone working there acting like a drill sergeant about the bins. It felt like we were all adults and knew to take turns at the bins and give the worker space. Everyone was very cordial and the staff person, Karen, was very helpful when we were ready to checkout. The value is great considering the inflation of Goodwill prices. I got about 7 items (one being a thick wool jacket) for around $12. It's a great alternative to shopping on the store side and paying more, but you do have to be willing to dig and maybe plan to stay awhile. We went on the best day. The weather was warm and sunny for December. I would definitely return. It felt like quite a journey from West Philly, but was worth the change of scenery in my thrifting jaunts."

M Q

"Some excellent vintage finds, not great for designer, some decent mid-tier brands. Not a large outlet, but clean and well run. The bins turn over fairly regularly, but only a few at a time. Definitely worth a visit for some fun vintage pieces but if you’re looking for high-end stuff this is not the place. I spent a few hours and picked up some great 80s and 90s sweaters, denim, T-shirts, blouses, and a few more recent pieces of outerwear. For newer styles in good condition it’s all Old Navy, target, American Eagle, etc. Some mid-tier but more older styles, poorer condition and more picked over."

City roots

"Not a bad store at all. Not to crowed since there are no bins at this location. Google says bin store but it is not, no bins in sight"

Linda Pope

"I go in here on my lunch break. It seems like there is literal trash on the shelves. Dirty and broken. I watched a man come out of the back with new stuff and about 4 ladies were waiting for it and he let them tear into it. They should not be allowed to do that. I think one of them worked there. Sad"

"Depending on the time of day you go, this Goodwill can be a lot of fun. Don't make the mistake of going right when they open. There's a line of crazy people outside waiting to stampede in through the doors (only three are allowed in at a time). People are so careless and thoughtless while "digging for their treasures." You can be a foot away from them, and they will throw what they've determined to be worthless right at you in the bin you're looking through. The store itself is fantastic, it's just the people that shop that who ruin the experience. And for the love of God, watch out when they bring out new bins; you will get destroyed, as people act like whatever they're bringing out is a once in a lifetime opportunity and there could be millions of dollars hidden inside! So many times, I've just gone to stand and watch the creatures that this store brings out. There is no enforcement regarding leaving children unattended, so also, watch out for them because they run around with no parent in sight. People also will load up HUGE carts full of clothing, only to take it back near the furniture area and then proceed to selfishly pick through it on their own time, all while making sure no one else can touch it. Personally, I think something should be done about the furniture area, as every single day, there are people (mostly men who are dragged there unwillingly) who just sit on the chairs and couches, sometimes eating or playing cards, while the women they're with "shop." I guess you can't control who shops there, but you could do a little better with enforcing the "rules" (there was a paper the cashiers were handing out a few weeks ago). Again, I do enjoy the store, and the employees, from what I've encountered, have been friendly. The only reason I do not like shopping here more is because of the rude and ignorant people that act like they own it."

Barbara Weatherholtz

"I seriously think this place needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau! Or whoever to seriously answer the same issues reported from customers time and time again! I have written reviews and get the same generic response. They have no intent to fix any of the serious concerns customers report. They have rules posted, but that’s just for appearances. They will not enforce any rules and don’t bother telling the employees. Nothing is done , because the violators, you know the ones with 5 carts, spend lots of money! Seriously, how can this place open their doors? They allow merchandise people donate to be broken. Customers get attacked by animal like behavior. Children in bins rummaging through the merchandise, dumping games and puzzles. Parents could care less because they taught their kids how to disrespect people and not follow rules. In ending, I’d like to share the newest joke about the new hours. This store is now open til 9:00PM. I went in at 8:05 and they were taking the bins away. I asked the worker why and he said “I do what I’m told”. You need to ask the supervisor. Well, she was up front watching them roll the bins to the back room. What to do... hmmmm!"

Nick Duca

"First off, it's "the bins". It's not gonna be clean and neat. This is the last chance for these items to be purchased before they hit the landfill. With that being said, I personally think the staff do a good job all around. They're friendly and helpful. It can get a bit hectic sometimes but that's part of the experience. Most of the time, the people there aren't bad either. Occasionally, you get someone who is a jerk, but I just move on and come back to that bin later. They rotate a row of bins every 45min to an hour. If you walk in for the first time, just find a staff member and tell them you've never been there before and they'll explain how it all works. Bring gloves and a reusable bag. Everything is paid for by weight. Currently, it's $1.99 per pound I believe."

d4man

"First of all, the one star peeps need a reality check. This is a Goodwill OUTLET ... This is not Off 5th or Nordstrom Rack. There is no method to the madness. You need to dig through the bins. I found the staff pleasant and the bathrooms clean. The changing of the bins is a fun concept. I walked away with an amazing leather jacket, great pr of leather gloves (found each glove in a different bin, btw), 2 pr jeans, 4 sweaters, a random graphic tee, sweatshirt, yoga pants, and ... a silver plated serving fork 🤷‍♀️ all for just under $20. And that folks, is the concept of the Goodwill Bins. It's ok to have standards but leave your expectations at the door. Just have Fun with it! ✌️❤️"

"I’ve been coming to this location for years, going back to around the COVID era, and over time it has become much harder to find worthwhile items. Most worthwhile items are presorted and price adjusted, items of value only make it out to the bins if employees miss them during the pre-sort. We have started to lower the regularity of how often we come as a result. However this weekend really made us re-evaluate us returning at all. There are two basic expectations most regular shoppers understand at the bins: don’t take items from someone else’s cart, and wait until the new bins are fully brought out before digging through them. In this case, the issue was someone beginning to dig through the new bins before they were fully set out. When the situation was addressed things esculated. What made it worse was that the customer claimed that since she was dating an employee the rules did not apply to her. The customer and an employee then followed us into the parking lot, where the situation nearly became physical. Management did come outside and check on things, but by then the situation had already been de-escalated. The overall environment now feels chaotic and poorly managed compared to how it used to be. It’s disappointing to see a place I used to enjoy decline to this point. Based on conversations with other shoppers, and management this doesn’t seem like an isolated incident. In fact Monday a similar issue happened at the other nearby outlet store in which Police were called. This suggests that these stores are not properly managing bin rotations successfully."

"This is a great place to treasure hunt, but you either love it or hate it. You dig through bins of raw donations for a flat price of $1.79 per pound. Any single item over four pounds caps out at about $7. Other specially priced items: all suitcases, storage bins, bowling balls, and exercise weights are $1.79. All books, glass, and ceramics are 69 cents. There is generally cameraderie among the shoppers and there are some friendly regulars. If I don't find treasures, I buy small housewares like sewing supplies, garden supplies, and kitchen utensils. For me, this is about re-using things instead of creating a demand for new consumer goods with new packaging and shipping. Plus it is a fascinating museum of our daily lives."

"It is the bin store goodwill- items are by weight- if you have time, and maybe gloves, this place is a fun way to spend some time searching through clothes or objects"

Sorry not sorry

"I used to love this place but certain management has ruined this place, it’s sad really. It used to be 1/2 hour between bin changes now it’s 2-3 hours minimum. All of the good employees have been fired or quit because of the “one who runs the whole building” as they twirl their finger on the air. I just find it very sad that they would allow it to get to this point. I’m sure they will be closed soon as sales cannot be good. Someone at the corporate level should really step in. The employees are given a list of brands of items to pull so they take anything worthwhile out of the bins but leave literal excrement. The one who runs the whole place has her “favorites” as far as customers who can do no wrong. Be careful what you say or do as the righteous one Queen of goodwill will off you from the place faster than they change bins. Good luck wear gloves to dig through the garbage that is left over from the greed filled management as you wait in a non air conditioned building for hours. DON’T FORGET THEY GET THE ITEMS FOR FREE TO HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE 😂"
