"The Goodwill Bins differ from the storefront version - this is a warehouse full of sorting 'tables' of mixed donated items, a 'pay by the pound' that mixes items from across Goodwill's regional network. It is capitalism's bone yard, a river of things which still have value, but only dubiously. Others have passed them by. Here one can pan for dinosaurs and dolls like a gold miner would a river. Under fire hazard tinsel trees one can spot wooden train tracks in perfect condition, or half of a Lego set, ready to be broken down for reuse. Don't come here for the TikTok, don't come here for the vibes. Come here if you see yourself as a mushroom, a vulture, a fast growing tree. You release the hidden value here. The majesty begins when the great creatures fall, and their treasures spill into the forest. Come down and sort through the bones of civilization!"
"the Goodwill Outlet here is huge. There are 8 rows of bins. Every 30 minutes or so, one row is changed. During row change, one must wait behind a line, and once the last bin is placed, then the customers are allowed to walk forward and pick from the bins. There are two seating benches. There are dumpsters if you need to throw things. Parking lot has been recently resurfaced and it's smooth. Half of the rows are for general wares, and the other half is for textiles. There is a separate room for furniture, lawn equipment, appliances, bicycles."
"Of the two Goodwill "bins" stores in the Pittsburgh area, this store is the biggest and has the most frequent changeout of bins. I visited both this store and the Heidelberg location in one day. At the Heidelberg store, they changed out only ONE row in two hours and I was able to look at every single bin very slowly. At this store, however, they were changing out entire rows several times within the one hour I shopped. I didn't get to see every bin, not even close -- that's how much stuff is here! The one major downside is this location is an absolute mess with considerable amounts of literal garbage, broken items, broken glass, and smelly/soiled/destroyed clothing. I was very very glad to be wearing gloves at this location. I really wish this store had a pre-sorter who would throw away the plastic and paper bags, hangers, boxes, broken glass, and soiled (with questionable substances) clothing. It would make the experience more enjoyable. That being said, we found a couple of items all for $7, including what looked to be a brand new pair of men's name brand jeans."
"The manager, who says he is from McKeesport and I better recognize, is unfair on a variety of levels. I'm speaking of the African American gentleman who is really full of himself out at the North Versailles outlet. The CEO of Goodwill makes 1.2 million dollars a year, as such the items that we donate should be priced fairly and negotiable. A couple of the rugs pictured below or priced below the normal price of $6.99 by a store associate who felt a $1.99 was fair and light of the fact that the carpets were heavily stained and covered with dog hair. I wanted to buy them so I could help my elderly neighbor so she can enjoy her porch in her golden years however when I encountered the manager at the cash register and I handed him the tag for $1.99 he about pushed the panic button. He asked me who priced those rugs so cheaply and I didn't tell him. I didn't want to get the individual who was trying to move product that no one else except someone like myself that likes to refurbish things and help neighbors would buy. So I took the rap I told him I filled out the tag so as to save the store employee the grief. Needless to say I was not afforded the price of 1.99 and I told him he could do something special with that whole buggy full rugs and I left. The supposed man then told me where he was from: McKeesport. He got somewhat aggressive verbally and followed me out the door. I thought I was going to have to defend myself but I'm glad it didn't come to that. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But the main culprit is not the man for McKeesport but rather the CEO that makes 1.2 million dollars a year. What type of work does this individual do? Does he carry 500 lb loads of stuff on his shoulders through 130° desert 24 hours a day 7 days a week? But I digress and look forward to progress. So be it!"

"My Mom and I love to visit Goodwills. We are vacationing in Pennsylvania and stopped at this one on a Wednesday afternoon. There is plenty of parking. When you walk in the entry has shopping carts. Inside to the left, front there are public restrooms and water fountains. There are also drink and snacks machines if you are feeling peckish. This is one of the largest Goodwills I have visited. I appreciated that all the clothing is organized by size. Their tags all have a color and each week there is a color that is 50% off Wednesday - Saturday and $2 on Tuesday. There are numerous rows of household items. Lots of books and movies too. Checking out you must register your name and number in order to receive the discounts. The prices are on the higher end for the Goodwills I have visited. I will definitely be back when I am again visiting this area."
"-2 stars given only because of sweet, friendly young man that stocks hard goods (would give him 10 stars) and large inventory in this store. -reselling vultures are catered to by poor employees that don’t realize they are being badgered and treated rudely -resellers grab things off new carts before they stop then wildly help stock so the employees can run back for more carts for them. -resellers are allowed to block aisles with their carts as they comp items or wait for more to come. - you could get rich filming how the resellers actually act in the thrift stores. Great idea for someone out there! - Prices are going crazy. Saw a lamp priced 49.99 today. Check SOLD comps if you want to compare to eBay, not what some people are TRYING to sell items for. -inconsistent pricing -individual prices for sets of dishes and cups. -used to shop at this goodwill all the time. Now rarely do. It has been ruined by YouTubers, resellers and management that allows camps of vultures. -management does not care about their employees"
"Super helpful employees and bargain prices are found here at this Goodwill. I continue to feel disappointed in the Goodwill stores in my area as the prices charged for items are unreasonable and restroom facilities are not always clean. This Goodwill store is located on Route 30, Lincoln Highway, in Lancaster, PA and I am so glad I decided to visit because I am now a fan and will happily take this 90-minute trip just to visit this store. I’ve taken quite a few pictures of items to show the bargain deals in addition to showing the huge selection of items they offer. The employees are absolutely fabulous, the store is immaculate, and the ladies room although dated is clean and in perfect working order. This Goodwill store deserves an A+."
"I have been shopping goodwill for over 20 years and the new policy on refusing to sell something that doesn't have a price tag is LUDICROUS! It's happened twice now at two different locations. I get that there are some who abuse the price tag situation but freaking Walmart and target will sell you something even if the price tag is messed up. Shoot must places give you the sale price even when an employee made a mistake and the stuff goodwill carries is donated. Not only greedy with how jacked up the prices have gotten through out the years but now you refuse to sell stuff. That's just bananas and don't bother leaving some pandering message about how sorry you are as a reply to this! Just do something to fix the problem."

"The Outlet Store’s Management is absolutely terrible. The store manager (Olivia Palma) shows repeated occurrences of bias and favoritism towards some of the male adult customers, while others (like myself) are treated with less patience, respect and/or kindness. Ive had a terrible experience with Ms. Palma which has left me feeling extremely mistreated and disrespected. All I was trying to do was search through the clothing bins, to find some stuff for my small business, and go about my day. I’m never usually one to write a review, but ever since I’ve been coming for the past few weeks, she’s made my experiences very troublesome and very annoying for not only myself, but it shows noticeably for other customers and friends who attend the bins as well. Nobody should feel as if they’re not “equal” to another customer, especially if they haven’t done anything wrong. I have more to share about my recent experiences at this Goodwill outlet, and I’d love to chat with a goodwill representative further about the matter."
"There aren’t really signs to point you where to go. See attached photo for the entrance. Didn’t see much furniture. It’s mostly bins of clothing. I’ve been to locations in other states where clothing was by the pound, furniture was priced individually, and dish ware and books were x for $x. At this location, everything is $1.89/lb."
"Definitely better than the outlet in Baltimore because it’s much bigger and it was rotating bins out a lot more however it did take a while for them to rotate out the bins and with their being so many people there we were all up against one side and we’re really just standing there stuck cart to cart with barely any room to move. I don’t know if this was because people didn’t want to move away from the front so that they could get to the other bins quicker or what, but it was very packed and seemed a bit like a safety hazard for at least 15 minutes and there was some people trying to leave like the store itself, but with their being so many people they couldn’t get through, and if we move over the line, they yell at you, which was kind of funny to see them yell at somebody who was going to check out lol"
"I don’t like this outlet as much since they’ve moved from Camp Hill. They had more bins of household than they do in Middletown. I’m not sure why they set the bins out in the configuration that they do with some household bins at the front of the store, then some at the back of the store. When they flip the bins everyone has to wait along the opposite side of the store. No point in even trying to look at the other bins still out there since everyone and their carts are blocking all the aisles. They have a policy for some reason that you must remain with your cart. They will call you out about it as well if you leave your cart alone and wander for too long with out it. I’m not sure why that’s so more important than telling customers to keep the aisles clear or at least a pathway so others can pass by or the flippers who seem to feel more entitled since they are there everyday who like to sit on the bins and relax and block someone’s attempt to look through a bin while waiting for them to be flipped. It’s not always bad though. Just depends when you go and how many people are there. I have found some items from time to time."

"READING SOME OF THE REVIEWS ON HERE AND THE ONLY THING I CAN REALLY AGREE WITH IS THAT THE PRICES HAVE GONE UP A BIT. SOME ITEMS ARE NOT PRICED RIGHT. BUT ITS STILL (FOR THE MOST PART) CHEAPER THAN BUYING AT A REGUALR STORE. I FEEL IT HAS A VARIETY OF ITEMS. WITH ALL THRIFT SHOPS ITS HIT OR MISS. YOU CAN NOT FORM A VALID OPINION ON ONE VISIT ONLY. IM A THRIFTER AND I GO ABOUT EVERY 2 WEEKS. SOMETIMES I FIND STUFF AND SOMETIMES I DONT. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THE STAFF, EVER. THIS IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP FOR A BARGAIN."
"Some excellent vintage finds, not great for designer, some decent mid-tier brands. Not a large outlet, but clean and well run. The bins turn over fairly regularly, but only a few at a time. Definitely worth a visit for some fun vintage pieces but if you’re looking for high-end stuff this is not the place. I spent a few hours and picked up some great 80s and 90s sweaters, denim, T-shirts, blouses, and a few more recent pieces of outerwear. For newer styles in good condition it’s all Old Navy, target, American Eagle, etc. Some mid-tier but more older styles, poorer condition and more picked over."
"This Goodwill location used to offer reasonable prices and a nice selection, but I’ve noticed prices increasing quite a bit. Men’s button-up shirts are now $8.99, pajama pants that show significant wear are $9.99, and even holiday décor feels higher than expected. Since these items are donated, I hope Goodwill considers adjusting pricing to remain affordable for the community. I used to go here often and noticed the change. Went back:. Prices even higher. Shop and donate elsewhere. They will get the point... Maybe."
"I mostly go here for the home goods & decor section of the store. It's a large area and selection, so that's nice—and this Goodwill receives some overstock from Target with the original tags still on, so you can see the discount/how much you're actually saving on those items. However, recently I also found items that I'd seen at the Dollar Tree around the corner just the day before—and this Goodwill had priced the items at $1.99, which is obviously more expensive than Dollar Tree. So beware."

"First of all, the one star peeps need a reality check. This is a Goodwill OUTLET ... This is not Off 5th or Nordstrom Rack. There is no method to the madness. You need to dig through the bins. I found the staff pleasant and the bathrooms clean. The changing of the bins is a fun concept. I walked away with an amazing leather jacket, great pr of leather gloves (found each glove in a different bin, btw), 2 pr jeans, 4 sweaters, a random graphic tee, sweatshirt, yoga pants, and ... a silver plated serving fork 🤷♀️ all for just under $20. And that folks, is the concept of the Goodwill Bins. It's ok to have standards but leave your expectations at the door. Just have Fun with it! ✌️❤️"
"First off, it's "the bins". It's not gonna be clean and neat. This is the last chance for these items to be purchased before they hit the landfill. With that being said, I personally think the staff do a good job all around. They're friendly and helpful. It can get a bit hectic sometimes but that's part of the experience. Most of the time, the people there aren't bad either. Occasionally, you get someone who is a jerk, but I just move on and come back to that bin later. They rotate a row of bins every 45min to an hour. If you walk in for the first time, just find a staff member and tell them you've never been there before and they'll explain how it all works. Bring gloves and a reusable bag. Everything is paid for by weight. Currently, it's $1.99 per pound I believe."
"I mean it’s the Goodwill bins! You pay by weight. I never found any of the bins overly clean. The bathrooms didn’t work which wasn’t pleasant, but overall it’s what they typically look like! I had some good finds so that why I am giving it 5 stars! Be prepared to dig! I recommend gloves!!!!"
"I thought I was walking into a normal Goodwill store and instead walked into chaos. We were actually pushed into the doors by a group of people yelling "the bins are changing!" We had no idea what that meant until we seen the workers rolling out new bins. The people just stormed them and were grabbing things and throwing them in carts. I felt bad for the children in there. It felt dirty and extremely overwhelming/overstimulating. Nothing is worth all that."

"This Goodwill store offers clean items that are fairly priced and restroom facilities that are immaculate. Plan on spending some time here because of the size of the store and quantity of product. Additionally, this location houses an outlet in which items are charged by the pound and appears to be a favorite way to shop for many thrifters and resellers. Digging through these large bins of miscellaneous items and clothing, looking for that special something, can be a lot of fun. This is a very nice Goodwill store and Victoria, at checkout, is fabulous."
"Not worth going to this store. They have a “trending” rack with the most raggedy items at quadruple the price of normal items. Lululemon bras so worn and pilled that the logos have rubbed off: $18. Babaton pants that look centuries old: $35. Free people jacket with holes the size of my fist in the back: $25. Plenty of Vineyard Vines if you’re willing to shell out $25 for a worn out t-shirt with the whale peeling off. Whoever is picking out items for the “trending” rack is extremely talented, because they somehow find the most decrepit, worn out items with no logos and mark them up. There are no steals unless you’re a middle aged woman who likes J-Crew, Talbots, etc. Anything good is going to the online auction. To add, there was a young man working there a few months ago and he approached me to compliment me. I didn’t respond to him (earbuds) and he placed a hand on my waist to get my attention. Wouldn’t recommend this store to young women. Never returning."
"Hubby and I have been coming to here for YEARS - when it was split between a regular goodwill and the outlet. Now there is no outlet(bins), and just useless junk that has sky high prices on it. It's freaking ridiculous. (And they literally have food and trash on the shelf. Literal food and trash) This was already out of our way, but every so often we would drive out of the way to visit. Not anymore. Y'all definitely lost a customer. This store is gross and disgusting now. Do yourself a favor and just mark this location off your list to visit. Not worth it."
"This place used to be exciting to visit, you never knew what you were gonna find, or what was going to be pushed out on the cart. Regulars of this store have formed some close bonds, and even with some of the staff have become friends with them. You could spend hours in this store having an absolute blast, and sometimes leaving with several cart loads of trinkets. It was the go to place for many various reasons. Unfortunately new management took over about 8 months ago, and it totally killed the vibe. The prices went up,and the carts stopped coming out,and when they did it was all junk from the dollar store kinda stuff. A bunch of stuff got switched around, and now there is entire aisles dedicated to left over junk that nobody really wants or things that failed to sell on Amazon type stuff. Some of the staff is really missed as more then half of them have been fired. All the regulars are gone, and when they do stop around they appear to be rather annoyed of what has happened. I used to actually drive 40 minutes just to go to this particular location, but the manager completely killed this place. I will not return until the current manager is replaced by someone that knows and cares about the community that they are serving. Point blank there is no reason to contribute to a place that killed all the joy."
