"Your pretty standard Goodwill experience; lots and lots of unorganized junk with the occasional AwEsOmE treasure. The layout of this location is cooler than most; it's some sort of "hub" as it has a Retail Store, a Bulk/Buy By The Pound Store and a fairly massive vocational training and Job Source facility all in one complex so you get a small hint of architectural pizzazz as opposed to the traditional 'strip mall unit that has been gutted then filled with stuff on broken, secondhand shelving with NO attempt at decorum or visual appeal.' The bulk store experience is not going to be for everyone... I can picture my mother, for example, being totally disgusted by the whole thing as it is literally 9X4 troughs of ... even the word "stuff" isn't vague enough to capture the randomness and lack of order or concern for the integrity of the items; you'll understand when you see it. As close as you can get to stealing as far as prices go. Sometimes as low as 25 or even 15 cents per pound of clothing so if you're looking for rock bottom prices with an equally valued shopping experience this is your place!"

"While this is not going to be my kindest review it most certainly will at least be absolutely EARNED along with the disgust I feel for this place after my experiences. This is about the outlet store side and not the organized, indoor dumpster diving attached at the left of the building. To keep it short, I came to this Goodwill location because I made the trip 30 or more miles just to do so. Upon making my way around, I was absolutely thrown by the sheer audacity in the items these people put on their floor! (Because they DO have to put enough out to fill it well- after they’ve picked through and claimed all and anything of real value which is against policy) anyway I’m attaching just a FEW pictures because there was way too much. Anyway- I and my best friend are finishing up and she goes to pay for her finds while I had happened upon my own! On the sale floor, in the miscellaneous isle were four totes and I sifted through to find a very nice handbag and two plastic bags FULL of what looked like nice jewelry and costume jewelry, a mixed bag of mystery and I really thought maybe I had some entertainment for my daughter and I because she’s 7 and loves to sparkle! So I prepare to pay and as I’m holding the plastic bag of jewelry in the palm of my hand at the register as I mention how excited I am- the middle aged woman with reddish-brown long wavy hair that wears the framed glasses absolutely hurriedly and aggressively jerked the bag of trinkets out of my hands! Next, this woman gazed into the bag as if the greed hadn’t already spoke for her she mutters “oh, yes, no I can’t sell this to you.” While not taking her eyes from the bag which was now nearly pressed up against her face. Myself, my friend and the other customers all equally appalled while I demand to have an explanation and the belongings returned to me as they were on the sale floor and they literally cannot do as she did- she sees the second clear bag inside my basket with the rest of the items I’m to purchase and she reached in and hurried to jerk them away from my reach before I could do anything about it and the way that she completely spaced out and changed her whole personality as if she had found The One Ring and she was going to rule them all and that was disgusting behavior. Then the abruptly vanished leaving a really tall, less softly spoken blonde woman to deal with the outrage that was not even the blonde woman’s problem!!!? She had no clue what was going on nor did she seem to want to agree with the manipulative, greedy older lady but she also didn’t want to have to deal with me either, so they then locked the doors and then that was that!!!!??? I’m so disgusted I wasn’t able to get pictures of the bags of jewelry as it happened so fast however I won’t at all be silent about this. You had something on your sale floor and a customer does what a customer would do- proceeds to buy the goods you placed on the sale floor and YOU SNATCH THESE THINGS from them for yourself?…. You make me sick! Greed is truly UGLY! Disrespected and bummed out I left with a sour feeling about the whole situation and I’m making sure to tell everyone possible and I will be updating when I recover this woman’s name. The photos here are of very poorly picked merchandise on the floor at a place that should just obviously do better for the prices they’re pushing. What is GoodWill anyway…? Goodwill please do us all a favor and after you’ve realized you’re taking peoples donations (BEING GIVEN GRACIOUSLY TO THE COMPANY FOR THE STORE- NOT YOU) these things regardless of condition, out of the goodwill and hope in THEIR hearts and these people do so in belief that what they donate is going toward a great cause toward people who need and they trust you and you take their trust and throw most of it in the dumpster after they leave (even BRAND NEW STUFF) if you don’t want it or it’s too much work NOT. KIDDING. PEOPLE before you donate or want to help- look elsewhere- PLEASE! Not because of that jewelry seriously because Goodwill just isn’t good!!!"

"Don't shop here if you’re shopping for clothes. Resellers have ruined the experience. Unfortunately, the experience here has become extremely frustrating for regular shoppers. It’s well known that staff are working with a group of resellers who "shop" at the store daily. I'll call them the “bins crew” a highschoolish clique that receives special treatment from the GW staff. They have free run of the place and dint pay full price for anything they "buy". These individuals are frequently seen getting exclusive access to new items literally sold out of the backdoor of the building, but mostly these items are often rolled out hidden under sheets or towels and placed directly in front of the bins crew reseller. These are high dollar value items that the resellers buy for pennies, a few dollars at the register. They are not even paying the full price to GW because again they have under the tables deals going on. And special treatment from staff. I don't understand how GW corporate is not concerned that staff are accepting cash to prioritize these resellers, giving them first pick before anyone else has a fair chance to look at or even gather items. Despite multiple complaints, nothing seems to be done to address the issue. Nothing. So I stopped shopping here and donating to GW all together. Not only are the resellers rude pushy and overzealous but if you do find something they want, they will just snatch it put of your hand or steal it out of your buggy when you're not looking. And again, staff do nothing about this. It’s disappointing to see this level of favoritism at a place meant to serve the whole community. I understand resellers are able to give money to the staff so its like a daily bonus for them, but the rest of us just wanted to shop for used clothes. 0 stars."

"We are military and were in for a military strong bonds family training. During our free time, we stopped in with our kids who love thrifting. We really enjoyed the outlet portion of it and the shopping in the bins. The only thing that did suck as there was a whole group of teenage boys who seemed to be just overrunning this place. They are rude and pushy, Kind of overran this place with a mob Mentality. Riding scooters through the place, so really.... It made it a nuthouse while we were there. But other than that, the workers were very nice and it was a lot of fun.... plus we bought a ton of stuff!"

"One of the worst Goodwill Outlet locations I’ve ever been to. You’re lucky if you get a cart, people take 2-3 carts each and then block the aisles so you can’t look at the clothing. When they bring out new bins you’re not supposed to shop until all of the bins are out and the employees say you can start shopping, but people wait for the employees to turn their backs and grab handfuls of clothing without looking at them so you don’t get a chance. And there are so many unsupervised children, I’ve seen people stick their kids inside the bins or in strollers and then leave them unattended. Earlier this week I watched a toddler almost get hit by a bin rolling out, the employees asked for someone to grab their kid and no one wanted to claim their kid and make sure they were safely out of the way, CPS would have a field day here. Management needs to start taking action."

"Its better than the regular good will stores since they have set prices but they go by the pound clothes, shoes, accessories, purses, anything in the bins. I wish I discover this store years ago. The items are used the bins aren't organized they don't separate men, women, kids, baby clothing in one bin and some of the clothing smell or aren't in good condition. I heard the price per lb kept increasing due inflation. But its still better than going to other good will locations. Only issue for me is that its on the other side of town. They do bring out new bins and take out the old bins so people be going crazy with the bins and they run out of carts. Overall its ok just be careful with what items you buy since its final sale. I ask the cashier to remove some items but instead she gave me 50% off one time"

"The Goodwill outlets are a unique shopping experience- either you’re into rummaging through piles of clothing or you’re not (I personally love it). I have been to several locations and this one is the worst that I have been to. People grab out of bins while they’re still rolling out and workers do nothing to stop it. It is common here for people to reach over and grab items from in front of you. The aisles are clogged because people leave their bins in the way. Today I was trying to walk to the cash register and saw a woman trying to walk through the aisle so I stopped to let her through. She stopped in front of me and put her bin in the aisle which blocked me in. Nobody says excuse me or sorry. What’s most concerning is the number of children running around and yelling in this store unattended. It has to be a liability for the store- a child could get seriously injured by the rolling bins, an adult not paying attention, or God forbid kidnapped. I wish the store would do more to enforce safety such as revoking shopping privileges from those who leave children unattended. This is a CPS case waiting to happen."

"This is an OK outlet- I had high hopes given it’s reputation but didn’t find anything great. there’s a lot of inventory but not a lot of great brands, and the shoes are set out on a rack and weren’t swapped out the whole time I was there. So definitely not a place to go for footwear, not bags either. There were some cute vintage items but nothing of good quality, mainly polyester. I went on a weekend, maybe the selection is better on weekdays when there aren’t quite as many people (had to wait outside for half an hour to get in, there was a line)."

"This Goodwill Bins location charges by the pound at checkout, but honestly, it’s nothing to get excited about. The bins are mainly packed full of clothes, and it feels like it’s mostly what the Goodwill next door doesn’t sell or leftover from donations. There’s very little variety, making it hard to find anything worthwhile."

"I go to the outlet very often, almost every day during the week and something SERIOUSLY needs to be done about the unattended children. It's a liability for Goodwill, dangerous for the employees, and the children. Today alone there were 3 children running throughout the entire outlet unattended, I watched as these children ran straight in front of a bin an employee was pushing out, almost being hit by it, the employee was clearly frustrated. Another child ran right behind another employee as she was dragging out a bin and hit her with a cart. These children were also screaming at the top of their lungs at times, leaving other shoppers sighing and complaining to eachother. In the rules it says children shouldn't be unattended but if it's not enforced it's going to keep on happening until a kid gets hit and Goodwill gets sued by an irresponsible mother. Just yesterday there were also children running around unattended pointing fake guns at shoppers, I literally have trauma related to stuff like this and it's just gross and sad that parents let this happen and that Goodwill doesn't enforce their own rules. I've narrowly missed being hit in the face by stuff these unattended children throw multiple times, and have had them literally crawl under my feet as I'm shopping. Please do better, the bins is always bound to be a little chaotic but it doesn't have to be a nightmare and unsafe for shoppers and children. If children are caught running around without a parent it should first result in a warning to the parent and then being kicked out if it happens again, it's a liability for everyone and just seriously annoying."

"I didn’t realize that there were both a retail store & outlet at this location. The store was clean and somewhat organized. The prices were pricier than what I’m used to in Wake/Nash counties. The clothes had colored tags on them but there were no specials according to one of the employees. The outlet section was a little overwhelming to shop but you get more bang for your buck. The cons were that everything is in wide bins, not organized at all, and some of the items were very worn or had a bad smell. I want to go back when I set aside more time to look and I will definitely bring gloves."

"A one star due to the dishonest staff member on duty last night. I’ve been to this thrift store a few times already and the prices for pajama shorts and jackets compared to a sweater are different prices. She charged me a 1 pajama shorts the same price as buying a jean shorts which is a huge difference in price. I had a short sleeve shirt with a zipper and was charged for a jacket. Then proceeded to tell me she couldn’t sell me this one really cute shirt seemed like someone was hiding due to it not having a price tag. It’s Goodwill and just about everything especially clothing don’t have a price tag! I said nothing to this woman because sometimes it’s better to keep your mouth shut than to let your rage out and it’s better to let God deal with these kinds of people. But very dishonest for that. I’ve seen her before. She’s always running around the floor putting things back all day, she is a short black lady with short curly hair up to her shoulders. Now not all the staff here is dishonest. I had a young lady check out my Nana and I one day and she was very sweet, very honest, even defended my Nana when the person behind us was trying to get through without our knowledge because they never said excuse me and we don’t have eyes in the back of our heads. And the employee she politely told the other customers that it’s not hard to say excuse me. She was lovely and has good morals. It’s a shame when the older generation are the ones who need to be taught manners, and good morals."

"This local neighborhood gem is right around the corner from me and it’s been a staple in this community for 60 years I come twice weekly and spend atleast $100 weekly. I went Thrift Store Shopping today in Greensboro NC and found this flawless Prada Raffia purse with the tags on it $2,500.00) and only paid $2.50 #PayAsYouWeigh #Prada #Goodwill #Greensboro #ThriftStoreTreasure #BecomingKasen #grassisgreeneringboro Thank you Mrs Sharon & your team at Goodwill for all the families that you helped and all that you do ❤️ Y’all are the best."

"Digging through the bins to find what you are looking for and shopping quick before someone else gets the item is addictive please be warned…lol The clothes are purchased by the pound so what you’d pay for a small bag of clothings at the Retail Goodwill you’ll be able to stuff 2 or 3 giant bags at the outlet. It was our first time to visit the goodwill outlet and it didn’t disappoint. First off nothing is organized so it’s first come first serve and everything are in huge bins side by side. Every little bin the staff will wheel out a few of the empty bins and wheel in a few new packed ones. This is where it gets a big crazy (see photo about the rules while in the store) cause everyone just dives in sorting through the bins and stacking their carts high or passing stuff off to their family/friend standing by to hold."

"Goodwill “#bins” Store is AMAZING! Be prepared to dig! Great stuff, but of course, you’ll have to work to find it! They charge by the pound for clothes, currently it’s $1.49 per pound - so cheap! It’s not dirty at all ( If you are afraid of germs- wear gloves and a mask) but- It’s a great place to go #treasure #hunting ! #goodwill #bin #bargain #shopping . I drove over an hour to get here and I’m very happy with my shopping trip !"

Chastity Ireland

"My son and I visited the goodwill outlet in Winston Salem for the first time today. We really had no idea how to start but we decided to just pick a bin and start digging. We found many great items and would have found many more but unfortunately we ran out of arm room and strength, lol! So, that being said, lack of shopping carts is the reason I gave only 4 stars. From the time we entered the store until we left about an hour later, no carts were available. It honestly didn't seem like there were many to begin with and apparently the pros grab multiple buggies, park them and fill them as they go. I wasn't very impressed with people being "buggy hogs".....but we WILL be back and next time a little better prepared....with my OWN buggy 😁"

Jen Gad

"Oh my gosh the deals! This bin store is amazing. Clothes are $1.49/lb and that is what the majority of the store contains. Electronics are $.49 per pound, and books are $.89 per pound. One word of advice - people get a shopping cart, drape a piece of fabric/sheet over the basket, keep the basket up against a perimeter wall and then you can be free to search through the bins, filling your basket as you go. Had to take one star from five because the employees weren't super friendly, though. Overall amazing deals! I got over 10 lbs!"
