"Have you ever watched a YouTube video or read a review that lead you to want to try a place? Well that is my story with Goodwill Outlet! I have seen so many YouTube goodwill outlet hauls where people find amazing items for very low prices. On my trip to Florida I was determined to stop by a Goodwill outlet. This appeared to be the closest one to where I was staying. Let’s first start with parking!!! It is chaotic!! I arrived around noon and there was no available parking in the lot. There is paid street parking, but even that is limited. Also, why would I want to pay to park and then go shopping at a goodwill outlet????! Since we could not find free parking I was just dropped off. I really had to use the restroom so that was my first order of business. I asked 3 staff and no one understood English!! Now maybe this is the norm in Miami. The security guard understood my request enough and helped me out. Long story short- the restroom at the outlet is not available. I was told to go next door to use the restroom. Next door is the building directly on the corner this is the traditional goodwill store. After I finally relieved myself I went back to the outlet. Now as I stated above, I came prepared, you know after watching all those YouTube videos!! I put on my gloves and started digging. This did not last very long. I think I checked out a total of about -9 bins and I was over it. Most of the items appear to be junk! I don’t know what the secret sauce is to actually find good items, but I don’t think I will ever find out! This experience was a bit overwhelming for me! I love a good deal, but I just don’t know that I love a deal so much that I am willing to dig through mostly junk to find a few slightly better than junk items . If this is something you don’t mind- knock yourself out!! Happy treasure hunting!"
"Good outlet, expect the usual outlet experience - you have to dig to find the good stuff but there are decent brands and items in good condition here, and sometimes you even find designer pieces. The pros: most buyers here aren't looking for designer, especially lesser known designers, so if that is what you are buying there's a lot of competition. There's often some very cool vintage. The downside: there is nowhere to park, only paid parking on the street. It's hot. They don't pair shoes and people wildly gather cartfulls of shoes as soon as they put them out so it's impossible to find matches. Some people are very aggressive - the last time I was here a shopper threw a shoe at my head when I touched something in an unattended box UNDER a bin that was "hers"."
"The Staff is RUDE, especially the 2 Ladies in the back. They treat customers like Garbage. When they bring out new bins from the back, it takes over 30 minutes for them to open that section again. Hot as hell. No AC, only a few fans, that are on LOW setting. MOSQUITOS are everywhere. I come out of there feeling like a pin Cushion! You can find some stuff if you are super fast, and super lucky, but you have to be careful, or the people next to you, may smack you in the face with an item. People go crazy when the new bins come out. And again, the back staff there is RUDE, and treat customers like Garbage."
"First time visit to Goodwill outlet. It was amazing to see the customers ravage through the items like salvages when a new bin was pushed out & after the security guard allowed them to go through it. The customers were made to stand in a line, not touch the bin or items within the bin, if they did they were yelled at. Lol. It was funny to watch..."
