"This is the only bins store near me and I have to drive an hour to get to this one. I visited once and never again. The employees are incredibly rude. They were literally screaming and cursing at the customers. At one point while I was there an employee was in the face of a customer cursing and nearly in a physical altercation. As soon as you walk in you're treated like you're unwanted and are just a to the employees. They definitely need to clean house and restaff the entire store. It wasn't really bins, it was huge deep cardboard boxes that you literally need to climb inside to reach anything but the moment you lean your body over the edge and employee will rush you screaming that's against the rules and threaten to kick you out. Most of the containers are nearly empty so there's no way to reach items to look through. 75% of the items are trashed and broken. Then on the opposite side, the bins are so full, towering over you so again, impossible to sort through without getting into trouble from the employees. Not a welcoming place at all. It's like it's ran by the inmates on D block in a maximum security prison. Will not return."

"The goodwill bin store is no longer on Hayward. I wish it was. The location that is was moved to is horrible. Nothing really there and I’ve gone twice. Please put the goodwill bin back on Hayward. So many people have complained about the horrible location of the gross one. Also please update website and phone number."

"A nice Outlet with lots of decent options, merchandise is in good condition and there is plenty of it. Turns don't happen very often so I would recommend being there at opening for the best selection. Prices are VERY low, $1.89/lb for everything including shoes, and 3 days a week it's all half off. No designer labels, lots of fast fashion. One note: much merchandise is in HUGE boxes here rather than table-bins and you have to bend over to dig through them, not the best for people with back issues."

Megan Bartnick

"It’s exciting to find designer bags and clothes but have to dig through a TON of junk first. It’s a little disappointing too that matching shoes don’t stay together. I have seen an improvement in the shoes being kept together by rubber bands. Half of the floor staff are nice but a few of them have short tempers and easily upset."

"My review is in regards to the outlet store on Rivers. I visited the store on a Monday morning, drove in from out of town for it. There was a good selection of items, I really expected it to be cleaner than my local Goodwill Outlet, no such luck. Overall, it was worth the trip. Watch out for other shoppers though, they're insane! After rolling new bins out everyone crowded around and literally just started grabbing handfuls of clothes and shoes, throwing them into their carts..I was nearly taken out by a pair of rogue Steve Maden wedges...I can only imagine how many quality items were damaged in the chaos of it all. The employees weren't the most friendly either, but with shoppers like the ones I encountered, I can understand why. A poor employee had to break up an argument between two shoppers while I was there. Apparently it wasn't the first time as the employee mentioned that he didn't know what their problem was but they needed to get themselves in check as he was tired of their drama. "Yall are the only two I have problems with here!""

"I’m very impressed by this good Will shop that has the best prices as well as a very organized book set up and clothing racks. I got a lot of children books for less than $2 each and nice shoes for $8. Nice to support charity, reduce consumer waste by buying on line or in a shop ie boxes plastic bags etc. 5 star experience!!!!!"

Adam Wisdom

"Treasure hunting in this store is always time well spent. There's not a lot of men's clothing, and that may be my only complaint. I used to score hard to find PC and electronics components from their computer store located on the opposite side of the complex. Needless to say, the prices are more than reasonable."

Larryett Thomas

"My experience with y'all today was okay I give yall four stars I didn't really find too much items when it comes to the bins I feel like when the good stuff come they probably the employees probably take it home with them versus putting it out on the floor overall y'all get four stars"

"As someone who has regularly visited this goodwills bins location as-well as others here is my opinion on the pros and cons of this location. Pros: the biggest strength of this location has to be the extremely clean building with amenities like places to sit between rotations, plenty of carts and even a water bottle refill. Additionally the Employees are kind and I’ve even had some nice conversations with what I assume to be the manger. While it could be a con for some the lack of hard goods bins is a benefit for those who mainly want to shop for clothing. Cons: The biggest con for this location has to be in my opinion the extremely apparent decline in the lack of variety of items rolled out over the past 6-8 months, to my understanding most items are unsold items from retail locations around town which of course is naturally going to produce more monotonous piles of clothing as it is more likely for the unique items to be pulled at the retail locations but it seems that these return / unsold piles are the obvious favorite of the store management as it is becoming painfully apparent these pre sorted bins are the only ones rolled out at this location compared to when the store first opened there was a better blend of not only returns / unsold items but also rags, and unsorted donations for example. I’m not sure if this a purposeful decision by management to cater to certain groups of customers that would rather not see items that might have potential flaws commonly found in the rag / unsorted donation piles but it has greatly decreased the enjoyment of digging for the possibility of finding something unique for shoppers like me. Another con being that the rotation times stated by the store as 20 minutes in various other responses is much closer to being past / around the 30 minute mark; Besides this the other cons aren’t particularly the stores fault such as that the location can get packed during peak hours so if you would like a more calm shopping experience it is better to show up in the later hours. In conclusion: Very clean location with friendly management / employees , but shop during off days either earlier or later in the day for a calmer shopping experience although don’t expect to find anything unique due to the managements preference to exclusively roll out cleaner presorted retail location return / unsold items which results in a more picked through item pool with less variety compared to other locations such as the newton or Asheville location. Overall had potential to be the best location in North Carolina and it probably was for a short period upon opening but due to the increasingly growing lack of variety pushed out to the floor it is overall a average location."

"This is tough to review. I would not say this is a destination shopping place. It's mostly clothes for $1.99 per pound. There are some other items but you are unlikely to find that unique goodwill item here. You will find a bin for hats, bin for shoes, scarves, etc. It's not all junk as there was some new or barely used items there too. Overall it's very new and clean."

Elizabeth M

"This is a great place except for the young dudes in there who are rude and desperate to grab as much clothes possible when new bins come out. They harass others with no respect or consideration for anyone around them. The workers need to do something about these people. They shouldn’t be allowed to shop if they’re harassing others."

Kristy S

"This place is pretty cool and definitely a good deal! They throw everything in bins and you have to dig/sort through each one but it is well worth the $1.99/lb to put in the work yourself. They have a small furniture section, books, some shelves with kitchen stuff and toys...but the real fun is the bins and bins of clothes, shoes, purses, scarves, and bags. All of the cashiers I have encountered have been pleasant and kinda, but Dominique really goes out of her way to make you feel special! Ive only been during the week and it gets a little crowded but is still tolerable. I dont know if Id go on the weekend since Im sure its swamped then but if youve got the patience and some time to kill, you can definitely find something worthwhile!"

"I come on Sunday when they have their 50% the weight. I have been going to them before they even moved to this location. I appreciate the company and the employees. This is a great place for those who are in need but don’t have the resources to pay crazy amounts of money for things. I was a single mother for many years and it was a blessing to come here and find needed items for me and my baby boy. Also love the fact that items get a 2nd life and some sort of recycling. The place is a clearance center and are a non - profit from what is advertised. You will not find top quality organization or carts that work 100% of the time. Everything is everywhere you have to scavenge through a lot of stuff. If you hate that this is not the place for you. If you don’t mind looking for buried treasure this is your fun place. I have found top quality items for cents. Tips: 1-come early when open if you want to find less mess 2- wear gloves, hands will get dirty 3-bring hand sanitizers after your done with digging for buried treasures 4-you are able to plug items in to see if they work prior to purchase. 5-you May get lucky and find used furniture at a Huge discount compared to a regular Goodwill. Happy hunting. Stay blessed"

"This location has a store with a connecting clearance center. The store was like most other Goodwill stores. Items were somewhat overpriced, but there are still good deals to find. The outlet store that was attached was horrible. Most outlet stores have bins on wheels that are rotated out with new selections a few times a day. In this outlet, the bins are stationary. In fact, many of the bins were actually large boxes, so there would be no way of moving them in and out on a regular basis. New donations just seemed to be tossed on top of old items. There were only a few clothing bins. There were a bunch of shoe bins/boxes that were filled up to two or three feet deep with shoes. Finding a matching pair would be like finding a needle in a haystack. I used to love going to the outlet in Pittsburgh. I am beyond disappointed that this will not be a place I can shop. It was dirty and the staff in that section was unfriendly. Goodwill should be ashamed that they are accepting perfectly good donations and then destroying them by throwing them haphazardly into bins. It is disheartening to know that my donations might end up as landfill rather than actually helping others."

"I think this store is stocked a little more professionally than a couple of other Goodwill stores I have shopped at. It's cleaners, and items seem to be stocked together in a way that you don't have to take the time to look through items you have no interest in. There are bins that have miscellaneous items so you know you'll have to do a lot of rummaging, but otherwise other items are put in categories that help you find items better. I liked shopping in this store better than the other one."

Marla Maybanks

"I’m losing my patience with this bins location. While advertising that they are open until 7 pm. The manager Mr Terry begins putting everything up by 1 or 2 pm based on his bad back. His assistant has an awful attitude. She literally said loudly “she was taking a break before she kills someone. And then said stupid customers.” I don’t know why they bother to put the items in the back. The bins are filthy, so they aren’t cleaning them. And if you come the next day you see the same items as rhe day before. If you come at 3 pm. Mr Terry is sitting on the counter waiting for people to turn around and walk out. No other goodwill outlet is run like this. And I’ve been to many across the United States."
