"It used to be fun making a trip to MetroMerch - it was a bit like a treasure hunt. Sometimes we'd make it an event for the whole family and everyone found something. Sadly over this past year or so things have changed. I don't know whether it's a change in management or just cuts in budget or what: Wednesday's used to be their 50cent day and Thursdays were the restocking days. Wednesdays were really fun because you could find some "treasure" that had been left behind throughout the week. Many times you'd have to search for pieces/parts because people..."
"**edit for "business owner" to read. Okay.. then why didnt you call me back or respond to my facebook message? I am disappointed to see this dishonesty and honestly worried about your customers being misled. You serve a vulnerable population and they deserve better. BUYER BEWARE. Really dishonest company. They overprice returned merchandise, and try to trick consumers into overpaying, believing they are getting a discount. I sent links to in-store pricing for Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon to their Facebook messenger, and asked a store manager when/if they periodically price check to make sure they aren’t over-charging. They said..."
"This was one of my favorite stores. I went to Metro every weekend and was spending $200+ a month there. Yesterday, I went in with my normal purse that I've been carrying for the last few times I've been in there. I was stopped and told by an employee that I needed to leave my bag in the car because it was "too big". I walked back out to my car in the rain and left. I work in financial fraud, so I know how unwise it is to leave your purse in a car. When I was there last..."
"First visit purchased an item from the shelf and was told if it had problems I could return it for store credit. It was missing pieces. Went back and they didn’t give me a receipt, code, or gift card but said it would attach to my email and number. We specifically asked twice how they would know about credit and asked for a receipt. We were told no the had to keep original receipt for return. Fast forward, I go to the store and purchase 2 more expensive items. Go to check out and ask for him to pull the..."

"Have good items and good prices. Wide selection"
"I do not know how to express how wonderful this family business is. I didn't realize that they were closed today and I went to get some boxes. I called them and two of their sons came and met me after work and opened the store just to sell me some boxes. They've always been super kind but this act of kindness was just over and above. I really am thankful for them."

"Went in for the first time Sunday before noon. Not many people in. Staff was friendly. The store was pretty clean and organized - bedding and such together, clothes over 2 tables that you have to dig through to try and find the right size. Most of their selection was obviously returned items that'd been opened or possibly damaged in transit. They have home decor, storage bins, rugs, shoes, slippers, a few random pieces of of small furniture. I'm sure the selection changes each week. They do have a corner for higher dollar items that don't appear damaged for less..."
"The bargains are everywhere! The staff are wonderful, always helpful and polite! Don't overlook the coins in the bins.....they unlock so many discounts! We bought a couple scooters- one very nice- for less than 1/2 the price of one! The battery was too low to charge, but a new battery was still cheaper than buying a new scooter. Its so fast! Car parts, toys, clothes, cushions, books, curtains, shoes, appliances, helmets, pool stuff, lighting, jewelry, pet supplies...and did I tell you about my favorite hair brush?! Maybe we like Sleem's a little too much? I'm going to Sleem's!"
"The bins are small. They hide tokens in the bins and if you find them, then you get to spin wheels to "win" a discount on shelfed items. It's a joke and waste of time. I found 12 blue tokens without even looking for tokens. I litterally spun the wheel 12 times and then walked around and looked at their shelfed items. I had spun 2 70% off shelf items. That sounds pretty good until you see how overpriced it is to begin with. Then it turns out that it's not 70% off their price, but 70% off the retail..."
"They have some of the craziest deals you were ever see. Me and my wife both walked out with several hundred dollars worth of items for maybe $70. The family who owns it are phenomenal they are some of the nicest people you ever meet. I cannot express enough how awesome the store is and how much I recommended. If you're looking for presents, home decor, clothes whatever it is I promise you you will find it in here. We will definitely be going again soon"
