"I would make sure you have plenty of time before you go shopping here. If you like garage sales, then this is your type of store. Everyday has a different price for the items that are in the long rectangular bins in the center of the store. They have more expensive items including but not limited to outdoor furniture, bedroom sets, canoes, etcetera. I recommend looking up pricing on anything that you're unsure of. I went on a $12 day and went home to find out that some of the items were only a few dollars a piece and they..."

"Black Friday disaster—rude staff, broken items, and a mic-shouting nightmare. They claim they don’t tolerate rudeness, but the irony is loud—literally. The staff are the ones disrespecting customers, especially the man on the mic who shouts “DO NOT OPEN!” like he’s guarding gold. It’s just $1 or $2 items, and yet he yells like we’re committing crimes. His tone is anything but polite, and it ruins the entire shopping experience. Many of the products are broken, low-quality, or just plain useless—but customers aren’t allowed to open boxes to check. If the items were truly guaranteed good, fine—but they’re not. And..."

"I've found lots of great bargains here! Sometimes I find nothing and other times I find great items! You must have the time and patience to shop here, just like any thrift store or garage/yard sale. And it is your responsibility to check your item carefully. Of course, you need to decide on lots of choices on the first few days at higher prices and as Wednesday $1 day approaches it has been picked over pretty well. So it's up to you which day to go . . . More selection higher price or less selection lower price. I have..."

"I went into the store with high hopes, but was sorely disappointed. It's all temu - es que type stuff that probably last a couple hours, then break kind of quality... Then people cut in front of us, and the guy behind the counter was laughing and talking to them, looking at my mom and myself and speaking in their language while still laughing. So when we left(because of a doctor's appointment I had to get to, he asked why we were leaving and laughed yet again. I honestly felt like I was back in high school and being bullied...."

What to Expect at a Bin Store in Syracuse

Bin stores in Syracuse work differently from regular thrift stores. Instead of neatly shelved items, merchandise arrives in large open bins directly from Amazon return pallets and liquidation lots. Here's what first-timers should know:

  • Bring reusable bags — most bin stores don't provide shopping bags.
  • Arrive early on restock day (Friday) for the best selection.
  • Check electronics at the testing station (if available) before you buy.
  • Prices drop each day — the longer you wait, the lower the price.
  • Cash is preferred at some smaller locations, though most accept cards.
