Bin Stores in Wichita, Kansas

"I arrived just after close one Wednesday (nbd, my mistake) and saw the big hairy guy (the manager?) smoking a freaking cigarette inside like it's the 70s again!!! (Gross right!?) Ok cool. Definitely looks bad to potential customers peeping in, but whatever. I look past it and return the following week with my kids. THERE'S NO AC (in july) AND I SWEAR THE CIG SMELL SINGED MY NOSE HAIRS. I'm dripping in sweat by the end of our adventure (only stayed 10min) and my older child needed their inhaler as soon as we got to the car. To make things..."

"Best days to go are Fri-Tues...but as someone said, they did raise the prices a few days...plus the outside signage on the north side of the building still has the old, lower prices so it is misleading to an extent. The entrance which is on the west side of old kmart building has the current more expensive prices. Tried it on more expensive days and the cheap days. Great deal either way if you are lucky. Only loses a few stars for the girl at the 'customer service'/unboxing station was RUDE, air conditioning might not be working in the summer,..."

"At 1st this place was my drug of choice I was addicted to the fabulous prices and the pure surprise of the unknown boxes and treasures you could find. But as time went on boxes got smaller and everything had been open at some point before they sold it, things were being split up and sold separately, things thrown all over and trash makes it hard to find missing parts to whatever your trying to buy, also when you did find something you thought was a great deal you get it home an it's USED !LIKE DIRTY USED!!They don't bother..."

"Yet another bins store. Two things I don't like, approximately two people working here speak English and they charge a 3% penalty for using a debit or credit card to pay. Thus I will not be a frequent shopper here. Overall it's another new bins store that will be hot for about a year until the novelty wears off. The 3% penalty is a real deal breaker for me as I cannot plan a purchase at a bin store; budgeting an amount of cash and then not spending it means a trip back to the bank to redeposit the cash...."

"Don’t get your hopes up on good finds— I went on $10 day with my baby and there was a stroller next to the wood bins along with other items that were labeled $10.. (not near the table with more expensive labeled items). Get to checkout and they changed the price on us and told us $30 and that they hadn’t had time to label it. (But they had time to hang out behind the counter with no customers on their phone) Pretty disappointed, if you’re a business, items should either be labeled with a price if they’re not included..."

"They do have some great items. Its hit or miss. I do like that at this Bin Store opposed to the others, they have items priced lower than their highest price days. So its reasonable. The staff is very welcoming and friendly."

"THIS is NoT a bin store like you know, it's a high Dollar Retail bin store. THEY don't follow their 1dollar,3dollar ads on the store front. She goes thru the mystery boxes they get and take out all the higher dollar items and replace with unsold junk re-tapes them and sells them as Amazon Mystery boxes. . This store is a scam when it comes to Bin stores.. Bin stores were created to give us all bargains not make us pay retail.. Think of this place like a higher dollar thrift but full of junk.."

"Wednesday is their “$1” day, according to anything they have posted or displayed. I figured there would be very little left, and maybe a few items at a higher price point. I did not expect that id be unable to find anything but a basket of cheap phone cases for the price advertised for everything in the store. Honestly don’t even see how it’s legal."
