"Unbelievable customer service. I was happily shopping and had a few items picked out when I found a cute little lamp—already broken. I brought it to the cashier and politely asked if they could discount it. Instead of a simple yes or no, she looked at me like I had broken it myself. It was originally $6, so it wasn’t about the price—just the principle. She said she’d discount it, but then called another employee over, and they stood there openly talking about me while I continued shopping—staring me down like I’d done something wrong. I’ve never experienced anything like..."

"It's definitely worth stopping. They're open every day but Thursdays 9:00am-7:00pm. Every day is a different Monday - $6, Tuesday - $4, Wednesday - $2, Friday - $12, Saturday - $10, Sunday - $8. They ask that you don't open the boxes and packages instead of taking the items to the back of the store for staff to open so you can see what's inside. Most packaging doesn't have item information on them, and most UPC's aren't recognized...so that's frustrating. I hope they find a better way to allow people to see what's in the packages...I'm sure we would bought..."

"How can you not fall in love with this store? The excitement of the hunt itself is incredible. Of course you need to get in line early and have somewhat of an idea as to what you are looking for. Just last week we found a $499.00 home theater projector and an HP printer valued at $299.00. Came in on a Wednesday afternoon a few weeks ago and ended up walking away with a brand new set of $89.00 outdoor LED lights for just $2.00. Of course your not going to score the jackpot every visit but if you’re looking..."

"If I could give 0 stars I would so disappointed after this visit.... This place has gone downhill The staff is rude and they look down on you if you're not Hispanic or speak Spanish. You get yelled at fir trying to figure out what's in the boxes (that are already half open anyways). And now they have a limit on opening four boxes only and then you have to go to the back of the line. The older Spanish lady ahead of us had a whole cart full and she opened them all before we got a chance....How are..."

What to Expect at a Bin Store in Sarasota

Bin stores in Sarasota work differently from regular thrift stores. Instead of neatly shelved items, merchandise arrives in large open bins directly from Amazon return pallets and liquidation lots. Here's what first-timers should know:

  • Bring reusable bags — most bin stores don't provide shopping bags.
  • Arrive early on restock day (Friday) for the best selection.
  • Check electronics at the testing station (if available) before you buy.
  • Prices drop each day — the longer you wait, the lower the price.
  • Cash is preferred at some smaller locations, though most accept cards.
